Many thanks to all who turned out for our conversation about Eating Globally: Chinese Food at the Vancouver Public Library. We had a full house, 80 attended.
Last year Judy Lam Maxwell, culinary heritage tourism entrepreneur, and Cheuk Kwan, author and film maker, organized a similar event with Candie Tanaka from the Vancouver Public Library. With the success from last year’s event, Cheuk suggested we do another one with a different focus. He asked Ali Hassan, author. comedian, and former chef to moderate our discussion. We had a lively discussion ranging from eating Chinese food from South American to the Arctic Circle. The audience asked provacative questions about the affect of AI on recipes and tips for finding the best foods to eat. The conversation was taped. Soon, I will post the link for the video.

Our friends at Nooroongi Books offered our books for sale.
